Anyone who meets our professional standards is welcome to sign up and get listed.What we expect from every listed witness is simple — show up on time, dress professionally, bring a valid ID, know your role, and communicate promptly. WitnessReadyNow is a directory — we make the connection. The notary, attorney, or individual requesting a witness is solely responsible for verifying that a witness meets their standards before engaging them. You may request a background check, credentials, or references directly from any witness before confirming a booking. When a notary submits a request in your area you will receive an email notification with signing details. If you are available you confirm through a simple link and your profile goes directly to the notary. They contact you. You negotiate your fee. You decide whether to accept.There is no guarantee that listing on WitnessReadyNow will result in assignments.

What We Expect From Every Witness

Being a listed witness is a professional role. These standards protect you, the requesting party, and the integrity of every document you witness.Independence: You are an independent contractor. All fees, terms, and arrangements are negotiated directly between you and the requesting party. WitnessReadyNow is not a party to your working relationship.Background check: You are responsible for obtaining your own background check if required and providing a copy to the requesting party. The requesting party has the right to decline you as a witness if you cannot provide necessary documentation. WitnessReadyNow does not verify or guarantee background check status.Professional appearance: Dress professionally at every signing. No athletic wear, no strong fragrance. You are entering someone's home or a professional office.Punctuality: Signings run on tight schedules. Documents in need of a witness are often time sensitive.Identification: Always bring a valid government-issued photo ID.Your role: You are there to observe and confirm that the signer is present, is who they say they are, and signed willingly.Phone and distractions: Silence your phone before entering. No calls, texts, or scrolling during the appointment.Communication: If something changes after you accept a signing contact the requesting party immediately.Fees and payment: Your fee is set by you and agreed upon directly with the requesting party. Witness Compensation

Professional witnesses on WitnessReadyNow are compensated for their time and travel — not for their signature. A witness who travels to a signing location has fulfilled their professional commitment regardless of whether the transaction is completed. If a signing is cancelled, delayed, or does not proceed for any reason the witness is still entitled to compensation for their time and the inconvenience of traveling to the location.Fee negotiations, payment terms, and cancellation policies are agreed upon directly between the witness and the requesting professional before the signing takes place. WitnessReadyNow strongly recommends that all parties discuss and confirm compensation terms — including what happens if a signing does not proceed — before the witness travels to any location.

Personal Safety

Your safety matters. Witness Ready Now connects you with signing opportunities but cannot verify the identity, intentions, or premises of any requesting party beyond what is submitted through our platform.As a witness you are responsible for exercising your own judgment about every engagement you accept.
